Keen to get involved with Bo Dangle’s Bodoption to become a certified volunteer Bo-Me Birthkeeper? Join us at CRUD HQ for our first free BDB training day where you’ll learn how to welcome classic Bo-Me’s into the material realm in support of The Crud Muffins contribution to the multi-dimensional Mirth of Earth Campaign.
Receive instruction and guidance from our qualified and experienced Head BDB Birthkeeper, who will provide comprehensive training from conception through gestation to finally birth your first Bo-Me*, who will be yours to keep in celebration and gratitude of your commitment to this sayCRUD cause.
Training will cover:
Pattern placement, pinning and cutting
Procedure to machine sew a classic Bo-Me
Stuffing
Hand-stitching closed stuffing entry-point
Canon Bo-Me facial features
The Crud Muffins will provide genetic materials including:
Choice of donated fabrics (for skin and nose)
Thread
Stuffing
Velcro for palms
Safety-back eyes
Enamel paint (nail polish) for irises and pupils
Fabric paint for lips and nips
Classic Bo-Me pattern to take home to aid future births
As we’re limited on medical equipment (and the more we have the less wait time there’ll be on procedures), trainee Bo-Me Birthkeepers are encouraged to bring the following:
Sewing machine
Fabric scissors
Pins
Trainee Bo-Me Birthkeepers may also optionally bring along:
Preferred fabric (non-stretch and not fur or sequins is recommended)
A plate of food or snacks to share (vegan/GF is recommended for maximum shareability)
PLEASE REGISTER BELOW so we can prepare accordingly and remain in touch in the lead-up to the training day.
*We will endeavour to support all trainees to birth their first Bo-Me on the day but as this will be the first large induction into BDB Birthkeeping it may be necessary to organise a second session to see births through to completion.
